Notary Public

 

A Notary Public is a public servant appointed to witness the signing of important documents and administering of oaths.  Notaries Public are commissioned by the Probate Judge of each County and hold office for four years from the date of commission.  Once appointed a notary seal and expiration stamp may be obtained from any office supply company.

 

Steps to be appointed a Notary Public

 

*Applicant must be a resident of Coffee County

*Submit an application for Appointment

*The applicant must submit a notary bond in the amount of $10,000

*The fee to become a notary public in Coffee County is $25.00, payable by either check or cash.
